Safeguarding
At Woolton Primary, the safety and well-being of all our pupils is our highest priority. We are committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child feels protected and supported. Our safeguarding practises strictly follow the latest statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025. We have robust policies and procedures in place to protect pupils from harm, including online safety measures, and our designated safeguarding leads work closely with families and external agencies to ensure timely support. We encourage open communication and are dedicated to fostering a culture where pupils, staff, and parents feel confident to raise any concerns.
Operation Encompass
At Woolton Primary School, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils is our highest priority. We are part of Operation Encompass, a national initiative that supports children who may have been affected by domestic abuse.
Through this scheme, the school is notified by the police if a child has been present at, or exposed to, a domestic abuse incident. This information is shared securely with the school before the start of the next school day. This allows us to provide timely, sensitive and appropriate support for children when they need it most. We treat this information in the strictest confidence and ensure that support is provided discreetly by our safeguarding team.
If you have any questions about Operation Encompass or would like further information, please contact the school and ask to speak to a member of the safeguarding team.
