Head Boy/Girl and Prefects
At Woolton Primary, we believe that appointing Head Boys, Head Girls, and Prefects in Year 6 plays a vital role in fostering leadership skills, responsibility, and a strong sense of community among our pupils. These roles provide valuable opportunities for our senior pupils to act as positive role models, supporting younger pupils and contributing to a respectful and inclusive school environment. Our prefect system encourages pupils to take pride in their school, promotes a culture of kindness and respect, and helps maintain high standards of behaviour and conduct. This leadership structure aligns with our commitment to personal development as outlined in the OFSTED framework, ensuring that pupils are well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to school life and their wider communities.
To signify their leadership roles, Head Boys and Head Girls wear black ties, while Prefects wear red ties, making them easily identifiable as role models within the school community.
