Welcome to Reception – A happy, nurturing, and exciting place where your child’s learning journey truly begins. In Reception, we provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children feel confident to explore, play, and learn. We understand that starting school is a big step for both children and families, and we work closely with parents and carers to ensure every child feels settled, supported, and valued from day one.

Our learning is carefully planned around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and is delivered through a balance of play-based activities and focused adult-led learning. Children develop key skills in communication and language, early reading and writing, maths, and personal, social and emotional development, while also enjoying creative, outdoor, and practical experiences.

We celebrate every child as an individual and encourage curiosity, independence, kindness, and a love of learning. Our aim is for all children to feel happy, confident, and excited to come to school each day.

We look forward to working in partnership with you and sharing this special and important year with your child.

PE Day for all 3 classes is on Wednesday – please ensure children wear black trousers/leggings with a white polo and a black hoodie or jacket with their names on the inside and trainers.
