World Book Day at Woolton Primary
On 1st March we celebrated World Book Day. We all brought our favourite book into school and discussed why it is special.
As part of our celebrations each class welcomed a very special visitor - The Gruffalo.
The Gruffalo presented an award in each class to the child who had made the most progress in reading during last week. The Gruffalo told Mrs Ngenda:
"I really enjoyed my day at Woolton Primary School. The children made me feel very welcome, it was great to see all the books they enjoy reading. - I hope I can come again!"
Chinese New Year
Kung Hei Fat Choi!
Children across school have recently taken part in a range of activities and events to celebrate the new year of the dragon. A traditional lion dance and martial arts demonstration was enjoyed by all. Look out for our display in the school entrance area.
Presentation Week
February 6th - 10th is our school presentation week. Children are encouraged to work hard and to present their work to the highest possible standard at all times. During this week two special awards will be given by each class teacher, one for consistently good presentation and one for the most improved presentation of work. We plan to have a presentation week every half term.
New School ipads
The new school ipads have finally arrived and the children are enjoying using these to support their learning in lessons across the curriculum. Our recently installed wireless network will enable us to make best use of all the latest technology to aid and enhance children's development in a full range of subjects.
